One Great Season

What do you get when you mix some digitial influencers, 16 thoroughly sweet Morganettes and an endless supply of Captain Morgan, all in Las Vegas?

An epic weekend, of course.

That's precisely what went down in Sin City, and I'm proud to claim I survived it. Let's get to the thank-yous:

Christian Matthews is the fine young man at Taylor Strategy who got me involved in this project. I certainly owe him more than a beer if he ever makes it back to New York. His colleague at Taylor, Julie Miller, drew the unlucky assignment of serving as my main contact, gracefully fielding my whiny emails throughout the BracketMaster competition.

Also from Taylor, Jordana Bruner is a total gamer. Not only deserving of full props for all her great work, but also for not missing any game time despite battling a cold and losing her voice. Splendid effort.

Rich Gonnello might be the friendliest person I've ever met, and Katie Zach is a close second. Maeve Hagen must get back on Twitter because keeping her sense of humor all to herself is a criminal act.

Another team from New York-based MKTG helped make the trip unforgettable. I'm lucky to have made the acquaintances of Shannon Fizer, L.P. Steele and Marjanka Amari. Sari Brecher, from Diageo, also was a fun member of our entourage.

Of course it was great finally meeting Toledo Katie and her Morganette pals. She and I did win one of the competitions during the trip, but unfortunately, Team Katie P was bounced in the Elite Eight.

I'm seriously amped that I can call the following bloggers my new friends, and I look forward to staying in touch and annoying them with link requests:

I'd also like to thank Karen from the USA-Canada border for the lovely visit to the interrogation room. She asked more questions than Barbara Walters as I made my drive up to Vancouver before the Las Vegas leg of the trip. I had to explain to her in great detail why I was arrested and fingerprinted in 2008, convince her I was en route to Vegas to party with 16 beautiful Morganettes, then of course explain to her what precisely a Morganette is. If I never get questioned at the border again, I'd be OK with that.

Of course dinner at FiAMMA was excellent on Thursday, as was the New York sirloin at Stack on Saturday. Friday night's parties at Rok and Jet were epic, and Saturday's event at Studio 54 was a great cap to an overall perfect weekend.

We're doing this again next year, right?
