Those poor New York Rangers. They took a 3-0 lead into the third period at home, looking poised to tie their series with No. 1 seed Washington at two games apiece. But the Capitals scored three goals in the final period and sent Game 4 into overtime at what became a spirited Madison Square Garden. Rangers fans rocked the "Can You Hear Us?" chant in reaction to Washington coach Bruce Boudrea's comments this week downplaying the playoff atmosphere at the world's most famous arena. But midway through the second overtime, Rangers right wing Marion Gaborik and goaltender Henrik Lundqvist couldn't agree on who should play a loose puck in front of their net. Gaborik ultimately poked the puck away, right into the body of Caps left wing Jason Chimera, who banged home the stray biscuit behind Lundqvist, giving the visitors a 4-3 win. Washington can close out the No. 8 seed on its home ice in Saturday's Game 5.

What goes around comes around. The jackass Alabama fan who poisoned those historic trees at rival Auburn's campus landmark got jumped at a gas station after a court appearance on Wednesday. Harvey Updyke told cops he didn't see who hit him, but the 62-year-old who tried to kill off the 130-year-old oak trees at Toomer's Corner in January is apparently OK. The same can't be said for Toomer's Corner, where one of the trees is having trouble growing proper leaves. To give you an idea what kind of a hillbilly we're dealing with, Updyke has kids named Crimson Tyde and Bear.

I enjoyed Jon Gruden's series with Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, Jimmy Clausen and Tim Tebow last year. This year's crop, however, isn't as interesting. Ryan Mallett is white trash and Jake Locker has been overrated since he stepped on U-Dub's campus. I've been a fan of TCU's Andy Dalton for two years. I think he's far better than he gets credit for, but because the NFL has a Kardashian-like sense of self and treats its draft like it's the most important event in the world, Dalton won't be an early pick. It's freaking football; get a guy who's got some tools and has experience winning a high percentage of his games. Then shut the hell up and move on.

Twitter user @Chief_aka_James shared Wednesday night's best video, which proved that Orioles manager Buck Showalter hates America.

And the second-best video came from the Real Madrid parade celebrating their Copa del Rey win over rival Barcelona. They waited nearly 20 years to claim the trophy, and when they brought it home for their fans, they dropped it under the bus.
