Desmond Howard
I actually remember watching this play on television when it happened live. Michigan quarterback Elvis Grbac lobbed this pass to Desmond Howard for an easy touchdown against Notre Dame. Grbac and Howard played high school football together in Cleveland and were a tough combination to stop in Ann Arbor. (Remember, to start the gallery, just click on the picture.)

Johnny Lattner's Helmet
This is the helmet -- if you want to call it that! -- that Johnny Lattner wore for Notre Dame during his 1953 Heisman Trophy-winning season.

It ain't a real tailgate party unless someone brings the College Football Hall of Fame barbecue sauce.

Near the entrance of the Hall, visitors are greeted with a historical look at how helmets have changed over the years.

OSU-Michigan
Understandably, the Hall of Fame has a separate room dedicated solely to the greatest rivalry in all of sports -- Ohio State-Michigan.

Howard "Hopalong" Cassady
What Howard "Hopalong" Cassady lacked in creative writing ability, he more than made up for by being a great college football player. Here he explains why he went to Ohio State: "I liked Woody Hayes. It was close to home. I received a scholarship. I didn't like Michigan and wanted to beat them. Go Bucks."

Media
The Hall has an exhibit dedicated to the various forms of media and how each has affected the coverage of America's greatest sport. It's not clear if that's supposed to be ESPN's Pam Ward, nor is it known when a BLOGOSPHERE section will be added.

Harvard-Yale
I do need to get to a Harvard-Yale game one of these years.
