One Great Season
EDISON, N.J. -- I'm less than three weeks now from hitting the road on my four-month tour. I'm going to start packing probably a week ahead of time, and your input would be helpful.
I'll be all over the east, south, west and midwest from September to December. I want to pack as lightly as possible, but I also don't want to forget anything. Tell me what you think I should bring in terms of:
+ Clothing
+ Food
+ Other supplies

Hand Warmers
Warm Gloves
Warm Hat
Hooded Sweatshirt...preferably a Buckeye one
Lined sweatpants
Obviously I am thinking of when it gets cold. It can be brutal out there. How are you getting from place to place? Flying, driving, bus, or train?? This sounds like so much fun, and I can't wait to follow you along your journey.
Oh, and we got tickets to the OSU/USC game, so hopefully we will see you there.
Safe travels!!
That really bright yellow rain jacket that you love to wear to games
Prilosec - the new miracle cure for hangovers...take before being overserved
Wind up alarm clock
Atlas - technology is cool but GPS is the new silent killer
Carton of Marlboro Reds
Phone charger(s)
Favorite DVD's
Subway Club Card
AAA Card
Battery Operated Car Battery Jumper
Your lawyers cell phone number
Hey Squirrel Whisperer...
As I will also be at the OSU game with sister Rachel you should plan into your travels a way for friends and fans to get together with you before/after each game. A quick meet up, hug, beer, photo op or autograph session...whatever the occasion calls for.
Make it happen.
Don't forget your pump. No pain-no gain, bro. It would be a shame to let those early results go to waste.
Keep it light and simple. Carry only the essentials you need. Consumables and stuff you absolutely need can be picked up along the way. Ship items to yourself where you think you may be when you need them. Like a big box of cold weather clothing to where you are going to be when it gets cold. Thinking about dragging along hats and coats in 90 degree weather just isn't normal.
Did a trip like that with my wife. It was more of packing the mountain bikes, backpacks, and rock climbing gear. Pitch a tent wherever and we were good. Don't know how many stars you are looking for in your accommodations.
Coozies are essential. Take Two I promise you will loose one. Oyster knife in the months that have an "R". You never know when you will come up on a boil. Just some tips from the Low Country.
Take extra deoderant and toothpaste while traveling through S.E.C. country since demand is scare basic grooming supplies run low.
liver pills.
