Gameday Gallery: Georgia at Oklahoma State

By JOHN P. WISE
One Great Season

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Many thought Oklahoma State would buckle under the pressure of high expectations -- not to mention a nasty SEC defense -- but the Cowboys treated their largest-ever home crowd to a season-opening 24-10 defeat of Georgia at newly dedicated Boone Pickens Stadium Saturday.

It's 1 a.m. as I write this and I'm wiped out after a long and fun week in Oklahoma -- I don't want to leave! -- so why don't I just let the pictures tell the story? Click the image below to be directed to my gameday gallery. Again, due to the late hour and the fact that I have to catch an early flight for Week 2 of the One Great Season tour -- look out, Columbus! -- I'll add captions for those pictures at a later date.

Until then, just know that after an overcast morning, the sun came out, the Pick was rockin' and the home team scored one of its biggest non-conference victories in its history. I met a lot of great people this week and especially Saturday after being invited to a no-joke tailgate party.

I hadn't told this story much before this week, but largely why I wanted to visit Stillwater was because the first time I watched a college basketball game at Gallagher-Iba Arena, about six or eight years ago, the atmosphere just seemed electric and I said I had to get here sometime. And just as I'm getting comfortable and making friends, I have to leave.

OK, that's about it. Click Dez Bryant below and take a look at the gallery. Goodnight.

Awesome pictures! May I suggest more shots of cheerleaders, beautiful co-eds and the tailgate experience?
