The Best 10 NCAA Title Games Since 1979

North Carolina Tar Heels

By JOHN P. WISE
One Great Season

While the UCLA dynasty certainly was memorable, and Indiana's perfect season in 1976 might never be equalled, I think it's safe to say the Indiana State-Michigan State NCAA championship game in 1979 truly put college basketball on the national map.

Including that game, there have been 31 national championship events in men's basketball, and it is our duty this week to pick the top 10 games of this era. I'll publish the No. 10 game next Monday, and will count them down, one by one, each week until April 5, the night of this year's national championship game in Indianapolis.

Here's the complete list of championship games. I eagerly await your comments, which you can leave by clicking here.
