College Football: The November Forecast
One Great Season
The November forecast will be the same whether you're an PAC-10 fan or ACC supporter.
Sure the weather will get cold in Big Ten country and stay somewhat pleasant in some SEC towns, but these college football predictions below are far less changeable:
+ TCU will knock Utah from the unbeaten ranks this weekend.
+ And coming off that loss, the Utes will slaughter Notre Dame on Nov. 13.
+ Alabama will beat LSU in Saturday's headliner.
+ Oregon will win out and earn a spot in the national championship game. This continued dominance also will take LaMichael James closer to the Heisman Trophy.
+ Auburn will take its perfect record to Tuscaloosa on Nov. 26. And it will lose. Alabama will claim the Iron Bowl, take the SEC championship game the following week and meet Oregon for the national title.
+ Oklahoma and Nebraska will win out and meet in the Big 12 championship game, where the Sooners will earn the league's automatic BCS bowl bid.
+ Virginia Tech will beat Florida State in the ACC championship game and gain that league's automatic bowl bid. The Hokies could very well end the season ranked among the AP top 10, a ridiculous notion back in mid-September.
+ Ohio State and Wisconsin each will finish 7-1 in the Big Ten. What does that mean? The Badgers will go to the Rose Bowl and the Buckeyes will hit the Sugar Bowl. Michigan State will lose at Penn State to finish the season without a share of the conference title despite its 8-0 start. Sorry, Sparty!
+ Despite finishing the regular season with perfect records, Boise State and TCU will not play for the national championship.
+ The last weekend of the month gives us a lot to be thankful for: Texas at Texas A&M, West Virginia at Pittsburgh, Auburn at Alabama, LSU at Arkansas and Michigan at Ohio State. Even Notre Dame at USC could be entertaining just to see Brian Kelly's first game in that great rivalry.
