One-Loss Teams: Wisconsin Is The Best
One Great Season
Wisconsin is the best one-loss team in college football. There, I said it.
Stanford is nice, but the Cardinal are this year's version of last year's Oregon team in that Jim Harbaugh's offense hasn't faced too many tough defenses.
Speaking of defense, LSU's current unit is reminiscent of its 2007 championship D, but its offense is awful and the Tigers would need a lot more than the luck they've relied on far too often in 2010 to beat the Badgers.
Ohio State already has lost to Wisconsin and I think the Badgers would beat the Buckeyes if the teams met again today. OSU has fallen a step or two short of expectations this year; the Bucks aren't a physically dominant, 60-minute team like they have been a few times under Jim Tressel.

Oklahoma State has an offense almost as explosive as Oregon's, but struggled on defense the first half of the season. The last four games, the Cowboys have toughened up on that side of the ball some, but they're still not ready to stop Wisconsin's three-headed rushing monster.
Michigan State deserves credit for beating Wisconsin, but that win was seven weeks ago and it's safe to say one team has improved far more than the other. The Badgers have great balance and the emergence of Montee Ball and James White during John Clay's injury absence has been the talk of the Big Ten. No way could Sparty stop that young duo.
Nevada couldn't beat Wisconsin or any of the other one-loss teams.
