This Week's College Football Picks

By JOHN P. WISE
One Great Season

Pretty impressive by Ohio State to cover a 42-point spread by 11 points in a 73-20 defeat of Eastern Michigan last Saturday.

Just as impressive was my 6-1 record straight up last week. Adam was a pretty solid 4-2-1 against the spread.

Let's take a look at our Week 5 picks:

My picks
Last week: 6-1
Overall: 16-7
This week's games:
Oklahoma over Texas
Alabama over Florida
USC over Washington
Iowa over Penn State
Oregon over Stanford
Oklahoma State over Texas A&M
Miami over Clemson
Wisconsin over Michigan State

Adam's picks
Last week: 4-2-1
Overall: 11-9-3
Oklahoma -4
Alabama -7
USC -11.5
Iowa -7
Oregon -6
Oklahoma State -3
Miami -3
Michigan State PICK

Miscellaneous Bets
+ After four weeks, my Ohio State experiment stands at +$400. The Buckeyes are 4-0 ATS this year. Ohio State is a 20-point favorite at Illinois this week.
+ After four weeks, my Alabama experiment stands at +$300. The Tide are 3-0-1 ATS this year. 'Bama is a 7-point favorite at home against Florida this week.
+ To win $100 on the Ohio State money line last week, a bettor had to risk $54,000. Through four OSU games this year, money-line wagerers have had to lay $67,015 to win $400. This week, the Ohio State money-line wager is $900 to win $100.
